Hannah is a professional horn player, educator, and administrator based in Boston, MA. She currently serves as Second Horn of the Worcester Symphony Orchestra and Third/Assistant Principal Horn in the Du Bois Orchestra of Cambridge, MA and is on Faculty at All Newton Music School in Newton, MA. Hannah is an active freelancer performing throughout New England.
Beyond her own teaching, Hannah's role as Program Administrator at musiConnects allows her to further pursue her passion for accessible music education. musiConnects is a unique community music school offering private lessons and group classes on a sliding-scale tuition system, removing financial barriers to music learning and cultivating a strong community of music professionals and students around its Roslindale studio.
Hannah graduated in 2023 with Master of Music in horn performance from New England Conservatory (NEC), where she began her journey as an orchestra musician many years ago through NEC Preparatory School in middle and high school. In between her stints at NEC, she attended Case Western Reserve University where she earned a Bachelor of Art in music and a Bachelor of Science in physics. In 2023 she was a member of the American Institute of Musical Studies orchestra in Graz, Austria. Other festivals she has attended include Domaine Forget de Charlevoix Brass Workshop in 2023, Sewanee Summer Music Festival in 2021, and Kendell Betts Horn Camp in 2017. Hannah's teachers have included Jason Snider of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Meghan Guegold of the Cleveland Orchestra, and Eli Epstein.
In addition to orchestral and chamber performance, Hannah believes strongly in the importance of community engagement. To this end, she worked with NEC's Community Performances and Partnerships (CPP) office as a teaching fellow, through which she served as a brass teaching assistant in a Boston area charter school. She has also participated in CPP's Holiday Ensemble Fellowship, bringing holiday concerts to nursing homes and retirement communities with her horn quartet. From 2021-2023 she held an internship with Music for Food, an organization dedicated to using music to fight food insecurity locally.
